Fidelity MOBILE - ANDROID APP

Challenge
The existing Android application was using the same design language as the iPhone app. With the introduction of Material Design, a small team was tasked with bringing Fidelity’s app inline with the emerging best practices.
Solution
After a careful page by page inventory, we identified the areas of the app that needed the largest updates including changes to the navigation structure and visual design. Changes to the visual design were balanced against Fidelity’s brand guidelines.
Benefits
The resulting app earned better scores in a yearly usability review. App metrics showed a year over year increase in customer traffic, and our Google Play store reviews jumped to four stars.
Since this major update, the team has strived to maintain Material Design standards to the same level as iOS Design standards. We have been fortunate to partner with Google to review the app identify areas for improvement.
